Nitra-Guard BIO-Cubes are made from 100% biologically degradable  polymers that effectively remove both Nitrates and Phosphates from  freshwater, brackish and marine systems. BIO-Cubes contains more  than 400% more carbohydrates than any other brand making it the  most effective product of it's kind. No additional daily feedings or dosing  is required, making it easy and versatile to use. Unlike biopellets and  other liquid carbon based nitrate removers, Nitra-Guard BIO-Cubes is a  “point of source” treatment which aids in the prevention of system  crashes. BIO-Cubes will not cause cloudiness and bacterial blooms.  With correct installation, bacterial colonies will become prolific enough to  start lowering nitrate levels within 7 to 14 days. Directions for use:  

The amount required will depend on stocking densities and amount of  nitrate in the aquarium. If Phosphate levels are very low(less than 2% of  the total nitrate in the system) Use Nitra-Guard BIO-Cubes TITANIUM  instead 

Below 15ppm NO3: 0.75ml p/lts Water 

15ppm – 30ppm NO: 1.5ml p/lts Water 

30ppm – 60ppm NO3: 2.5ml p/lts Water 

Above 60ppm NO3: 3.4ml p/lts Water 

If Nitrate levels are above 70ppm, we advise that consecutive water  changes are performed before adding Nitra-Guard BIO-Cubes
